The film has a great cast of voice-overs of current, relevant actors and the plot incorporates a variety of characters whose personalities creatively match the colors of their crayons.

"The Hero of Color City," directed by Frank Gladstone, feels as though it was written by a committee, and so it's not a surprise to see five screenwriters listed in the credits. Even if you allow for the the fact that the film is geared towards the 5-year-old set, it's still a pretty dreary experience, made even more so by screamingly vivid.
